Artichoke: Musings and Process, 2017, is a single channel video installation with a quadraphonic sound design. Through this work I’m interested in revisiting my personal archive via dialogical process with colleague and collaborator Kathie Halfin. We insistently share our musings regarding our shared traumatic experiences in relation to our artistic practices. Recording the video facilitated a safe space for our bodies to re-conceive painful memories, yet re-record them in a more abstract and oneiric way. The work allows us to become agents performing and subverting our personal history.
